Should Plastic be banned?

 


Plastic is a ubiquitous material in modern society and has been widely used for various purposes. Thirdly, plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose, which means that it is a long-term problem that will persist for generations to come. This also creates a huge waste management problem as landfills become filled with plastic waste.

In conclusion, plastic has become a major environmental concern, and the case for banning plastic is strong. It is damaging the environment, wildlife, and the marine ecosystem, and its production contributes to climate change. Alternatives to plastic should be sought, such as biodegradable materials, and better waste management policies should be implemented to reduce plastic pollution.
